Freezer Prep 101: Get Back-to-School Ready!

Back-to-school means getting back into a routine, busy days and little time to cook elaborate meals in the evening. With a little preparation, you can make life a whole lot easier — and more budget-friendly too.

With our freezer prep, you can make delicious meals ahead of time, freeze them and always have something tasty on hand for those busy school days. The only thing left to do? Take it out of the freezer, heat it up and enjoy. It really is that simple!

BOWLS

A bowl is really the ultimate comfort food for me: everything in one bowl, and yet it feels like a complete meal. From a spicy Chinese cabbage soup with meatballs and ginger, to our Thai red wonton soup with pak choi and the super quick 5-minute ramen, to a warming broth bowl with salmon, spinach, and sweet potato: you make these bowls in advance, freeze them, and easily pull them out on a busy school or workday!

WRAPS

Wraps are my secret weapon for busy days: you literally put everything in them that you have left in the fridge, and yet it tastes different every time! Think of a creamy tuna melt wrap, a quesadilla with chicken, red beans, and cheese, an easy healthy tortilla quiche, or a spicy chipotle black bean burrito with cashew-chipotle. Prepared, frozen, and ready in just a few minutes!!

Healthy snacks

If there’s one thing I always want to have at home, it’s healthy snacks and bars: especially in a week full of school bags and snacks. From savory bars with sun-dried tomatoes and feta topping, to the classic date-peanut-chocolate bar and soft blueberry crumble bars, to our breakfast granola bars: each one is frozen happiness that you can easily take with you.

SOUP

Nothing feels as warming and nurturing as a bowl of homemade soup, especially on those days when you just don’t feel like cooking. From our tomato soup with meatballs and the chervil soup with sausage, to chicken noodle soup, to the new creamy spinach-pea soup with cottage cheese and mint: all soups that you freeze in portions and warm up again when you need them.

a little bit of extra healthy

A healthy breakfast gives you the energy you need to start your day right. With nutritious ingredients such as whole grains, fruit, yoghurt and nuts, you get essential nutrients while staying full for longer. Eating a healthy breakfast doesn’t have to be complicated either: with just a few simple choices, you can put something delicious and nutritious on the table in no time.

Finish off with healthy toppings & drinks!

It can be that simple: a little preparation now, and the rest of the week you eat as if you’ve cooked fresh anyway.
