What do you need?
Quantity: 1 jar (300 ml)

Salted date caramel
250 g Medjool dates
150 ml coconut cream
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1 pinch of salt

This recipe is completely vegetarian and vegan.

Preparation method

How do you make this?

Pit the Medjool dates and let them soak in warm water for 30 minutes.

Put the soaked dates in a blender together with the coconut cream, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.

Blend until smooth, creamy caramel. If the mixture remains too thick, you can add a small splash of the soaking water.

Store in a sealed jar in the refrigerator.

Tips

  • Delicious in a latte, with granola, over yogurt or as a dip with cookies. 
  • For an extra deep caramel flavor you can add a pinch of cinnamon or cocoa powder. 
  • Use soft Medjool dates, which provide the creamiest structure.
