Mix the pumpkin, eggs, vanilla extract, and ginger well together.
In another bowl, mix the flour, spices, salt, and bicarbonate together.
Stir the sugar into the soft butter and alternately add some of the pumpkin mixture and flour mixture. Mix everything together until you have a smooth dough.
Place a cut-to-size baking paper in your air fryer baking pan and add half of the dough mixture in separate dollops.
Melt the chocolate and mix it into the remaining half of the dough mixture. Distribute the mixture among the other dollops of dough. Create some swirls with the back of a spoon.
Bake for 25-30 minutes in the air fryer at 165 °C. Optionally, do the skewer test; if it comes out dry, the cake is ready.
Take the pan out, remove the cake with the baking paper from the pan, and let it cool on a rack.
