Ingredients

What do you need?
Quantity: 20 pieces

750 g self-raising flour
170 ml milk at room temperature
100 ml sparkling water
70 g fresh yeast
3 eggs and 2 yolks
1 tsp salt
1 vanilla pod
400 g soft butter
500 g pearl sugar

Preparation method

Mix yeast, milk, and salt together.

Then add this along with all the other ingredients, except for the pearl sugar, into a bowl.

Mix with the hook and knead well for 5 minutes until the dough pulls away from the sides, dust with some extra flour if necessary, let it rest and rise for 1 hour.

Add the pearl sugar and mix again.

Preheat your waffle iron and grease it with some oil, place dollops of dough on it and bake the waffles for about 2 minutes until golden brown.

Remove the caramelized sugar between baking sessions, otherwise it will burn after a while.

Depending on your waffle iron, you can decide how big you want them.
