Dubai Espresso Latte

Easy

A latte, but Dubai style: rich, surprising, and a touch decadent. This latte combines the warmth of espresso with pistachios, chocolate, crispy kataifi, and a touch of honey. Perfect for a coffee break that also doubles as a small dessert. I thought it would be fun to create a latte at the popular Dubai bar!

Make it veggie!

The original recipe is already vegetarian. For a vegan version, you can replace the milk with oat milk or almond milk, and opt for vegan chocolate and a plant-based pistachio spread without honey.

Preparation method

How do you make this?

Preparing the glass: Grease the rim of your glass or mug with the pistachio butter. Then press the edge into the crumbled kataifi so that you get a nice crispy and festive finish.

Add chocolate: Place a piece of dark chocolate at the bottom of the glass.

Espresso and honey: Make an espresso and pour it directly onto the chocolate so that it starts to melt. Stir well. If necessary, add a spoonful of honey for a soft sweetness.

Add milk: Carefully pour the frothed milk into the espresso.

Finish and serve: Finish with some chopped pistachios on top of the milk foam if necessary. Serve immediately and enjoy this luxurious coffee.

Tips

  • Use quality pistachio butter for the best flavor.
  • You can buy ready-made kataifi at Turkish or Middle Eastern stores. Roast it briefly in the oven for extra crunch.
  • For a stronger coffee flavor, you can use a double espresso.
  • A little cinnamon or cardamom on top gives it an even more Middle Eastern touch.
