Blueberry and avocado smoothie

Easy

Sometimes you have combinations that just work. This smoothie is one of those. I'm not a fan of smoothies that are too sweet or with red fruit, but this drink is a real winner for me. Everything is there: my share of antioxidants, proteins, and good fats through the avocado, celery, cucumber, chia seeds, peanut butter to make it creamy, blueberries and hemp seeds. Topped with coconut water or aloe vera, this becomes my ultimate power smoothie for the morning at my desk or in the car.

Make it veggie!

This recipe is already vegetarian and vegan, as long as you choose a plant-based drink like coconut water or aloe vera.

Preparation method

How do you make this?

Cut the cucumber, avocado, and celery into pieces. Remove the pit from the date.

Put everything together with the blueberries, peanut butter, hemp seeds, and chia seeds in the blender.

Add the coconut water or aloe vera drink. Start with 200 ml and add more if you want a thinner smoothie. Blend until smooth.

Serve immediately and enjoy this creamy, fresh, and nutritious smoothie.

Tips

  • Do you want the smoothie extra cold? Add a few ice cubes before mixing.
  • No aloe vera drink at home? Just use water or almond milk.
  • For extra protein you can add a scoop of protein powder.
  • You can also take the smoothie with you in a tightly sealable bottle.
  • Prefer something sweeter? Add half a banana or a dash of raw honey.
