Make it veggie!

This drink is vegetarian by default. For a vegan version, you can substitute the cinnamon honey with agave syrup and a pinch of cinnamon.

Preparation method

How do you make this?

Cut the orange in half and rub the rim of your mug or glass with it. Then dip the rim in chipotle salt for a smoky touch, or a mixture of sugar and chipotle powder.

Place the chai tea mixture and chili flakes in a tea bag or tea egg and place this in your mug with the lemon wedge, ginger, and honey.

Pour boiling water over it and let it steep for 3 to 5 minutes.

Remove the tea bag.

Pour in the cranberry chipotle mix and stir well.

Serve immediately, steaming hot and with a warm blanket around you 😊

And yes, I eat the ginger and nibble the lemon pulp from the peel

Tips

  • No chipotle salt in the house? Mix coarse sea salt with a pinch of smoked paprika powder.
  • You can also replace salt with sugar
  • Another honey is also possible.
