Make the Sidecar cocktail with cognac, fresh lemon juice, and Cointreau. This refreshing and elegant drink is perfect for any occasion.
50 ml cognac

50 g sugar
50 ml water
Simple syrup: Mix equal parts sugar and water in a bowl. Stir well until the sugar is completely dissolved. This can also be done with a hand mixer.
Add the cognac to a cocktail shaker.
Then add the Cointreau, lemon juice, and simple syrup.
Fill the shaker with ice cubes and shake vigorously for about 10 seconds.
Strain the contents of the shaker into a chilled coupe glass.
Garnish with a piece of lemon zest by squeezing it over the cocktail and placing it in the glass.
Use fresh lemon juice for the best taste. To sugar the edge of the glass, rub it with a piece of lemon and dip the glass in sugar before pouring the cocktail.
