Bread with tomato, a Spanish tapas recipe you definitely have to try. Bread, garlic, olive oil, and tomato served with hand-sliced ham, that's it!
4 slices of country bread
2 ripe tomatoes
Soft olive oil
2 cloves of garlic
Fleur de sel
4 slices of country bread
2 ripe tomatoes
Soft olive oil
2 cloves of garlic
Fleur de sel
Place a box grater on a deep plate and grate the tomato completely. Add a tablespoon of oil and season with pepper and salt.
Cut 4 thick slices of the bread. Drizzle some oil on the bread and in a pan. Toast the bread until golden brown and crispy on both sides. Rub all the slices with a clove of garlic. Spread the tomato over them.
You can possibly serve Serrano Ham and Manchego cheese, so you stay completely in the Spanish vibe. Serve with Sangria. You can use all types of tomato. They must be ripe, so that the meat, the pulp and the seeds are grated and only the skin remains. In the Spanish Taquerias (where they make Tostadas and Bocadillos) they just rub the bread with a ripe tomato to make it extra tasty, love it!
