Delicious comfort food that's also super healthy and on the table in no time? Yes please! This nasi goreng is one of my absolute favorites for busy weeknights. It's the perfect way to get plenty of vegetables into your diet, and believe me: with that fried rice, fresh toppings, and a delicious fried egg with a runny yolk, this dish is always a hit.

Making nasi goreng yourself is not difficult at all. Just pure flavor enhancers like fresh ginger, garlic, soy sauce, and a touch of hot sauce for that delicious kick. This nasi recipe is also ideal as a vegetarian meal, but you can also perfectly add some fried chicken, salmon, or extra mushrooms. Enjoy!

Finely chop the garlic, ginger, onion, carrot, and leek. Heat the oil in the pan and sauté the finely chopped vegetables briefly and vigorously for about 4 minutes.

Add the sauces and the rice, fry a little longer until everything is nicely heated. Fry 4 fried eggs, divide them together with the rice on the plates. Sprinkle the finely chopped spring onion and chili on top, serve with a piece of lemon.

This is a perfect vegetarian lunch or dinner. A piece of fried chicken, salmon, or fried mushrooms also goes well with this.
