Crème brûlée is one of those typical desserts you order at a restaurant. Good news, today I'll show you how to make the best crème brûlée in your own kitchen. Eight egg yolks, a whole vanilla bean, and a low oven temperature create that velvety, creamy custard I can never get enough of. The real showstopper comes at the very end when I use a blowtorch to caramelize that thin layer of sugar on top into a shiny, crispy crust. That first tap with your spoon, just the sound of it. Finish with some orange zest and then... enjoy! If you can't get enough of this dessert either, be sure to check out these variations: Crème brûlée pie and Crème brûlée cheesecake. Put the egg yolks and sugar in a bowl, along with the vanilla seeds. Mix well together. Add the cold cream and milk and mix again. Place jars on a baking tray and divide into 4 low jars.

Bake for at least an hour in a preheated oven at 90 degrees. The crème brûlées are ready when the mixture no longer moves. Let cool. Cover with cling film and let set in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 hours.

Mix brown and white sugar and sprinkle a tablespoon of sugar over each crème brûlée. Burn the crème brûlées with a blowtorch and serve immediately.
