These crowns made of apple and puff pastry are super simple to make and really delicious! Also very nice to make as a little gift to give away.
2 large Jonagold apples
1 roll of puff pastry
3 tbsp fine sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
50 g melted butter
2 tbsp powdered sugar
2 large Jonagold apples
1 roll of puff pastry
3 tbsp fine sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
50 g melted butter
2 tbsp powdered sugar
Cut off the ends of the apples and then slice them into 4 equal rounds.
Remove the core so that you have a circle of about 2 cm.
Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into strips about a centimeter thick.
Take a slice of apple and wrap a strip of dough around it, so to speak.
Push the strips through the opening and go around to push through the hole again, do this all around with some pieces of the apple still visible, you can just press the pieces of dough together.
Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and brush them evenly with some melted butter.
Mix cinnamon with the sugar and sprinkle each crown with it.
Bake them for 20-25’ at 185°C.
