Peel the potatoes and cook or steam them until done.
Place them in a tall pot and mash them with a potato masher.
Then add the milk to the desired thickness along with the butter in pieces.
Season with a little bit of white pepper powder, a pinch of salt, and a few grates of nutmeg.
Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary, finish with an extra knob of butter.
