Preparation method

How do you make this?

Preheat the oven to 195 to 200°.

Let a knob of butter foam in a baking dish.

Season the roast with pepper and salt and brown it well all around in the butter over the heat.

Let it cool slightly and cut slices about 1 cm from the bottom so that the meat still holds together nicely.

Cut the slices of ham and cheese in half and stack them together between the slices.

Place back in the baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes in the oven (depending on the thickness of the roast).

You can easily peek at the baking method between the slices 😉

Pour the mushroom cream sauce around it and serve with mashed potatoes or croquettes of your choice.
