Kitchen must haves

Ingredients

What do you need?
Quantity: 1P

400 g red beans (canned, preferably organic)
2 sprigs of fresh oregano
5 tablespoons of olive oil
75 g feta
a few tablespoons of water or broth (optional)
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
pepper and sea salt

400 g red beans (canned, preferably organic)
2 sprigs of fresh oregano
5 tablespoons of olive oil
75 g feta
a few tablespoons of water or broth (optional)
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
pepper and sea salt

Preparation method

How do you make this?

Rinse the red beans well in a colander.

Put the red beans, the leaves from 1 sprig of oregano, the olive oil, and the feta in a blender and mix. Set aside some feta to finish the hummus if desired.

Add some water or broth if the hummus is not creamy enough.

Finish with the lemon juice.

Season with pepper and sea salt.

Garnish with pieces of feta and sprigs of oregano.

Tips

The feta probably makes the hummus a little drier, so feel free to add a little more water (or broth). Only use the leaves of the oregano. You can also use dried oregano, but the hummus looks more colorful with fresh.
