This fried cervelat with spicy mayo is a surprising twist on a classic. Crispy and full of flavor, with a spicy sauce.
2 cervelats 1 tbsp ketchup 1 tbsp homemade mayonnaise 1 tsp chopped onion 1 pinch curry powder 1 pinch cayenne pepper 1 spring onion, finely chopped
2 cervelats 1 tbsp ketchup 1 tbsp homemade mayonnaise 1 tsp chopped onion 1 pinch curry powder 1 pinch cayenne pepper 1 spring onion, finely chopped
First, cut the cervelats into three equal pieces and make incisions: one lengthwise and three per piece widthwise.
Fry the pieces of sausage until they curl up nicely and are golden brown.
Make a sauce by mixing the ketchup and mayonnaise with the onion, curry powder, and cayenne pepper.
Garnish with spring onion.
You can also make this dish with other types of sausage, such as merguez or bratwurst. Do you want more spice? Then add a little sambal to the sauce for an extra kick.
