1 tbsp chai spice blend
150 ml boiling water
150-180 ml unsweetened milk of your choice
1 tsp date powder

Finishing:
Star anise
Cardamom pod

Preparation method

How do you make this?

Brewing tea: Place the chai spices in a tea filter or tea bag and pour in the boiling water. Let it steep for 5 minutes.

Frothing milk: Combine the milk with the date powder in a milk frother and heat until it froths. Don't have a milk frother? Heat the milk in a saucepan and whisk until frothy.

Combining: Remove the tea bag from the tea and pour in the warm frothed milk.

Finishing: Garnish with a star anise and a cardamom pod for extra aroma and flavor.

Tips

For an extra kick: Feel free to add a teaspoon of green or black tea to the spice mix if you want some extra energy. Roasting herbs: roast your chaikruiden briefly in a dry pan for a deeper, more roasted taste. This gives a unique twist to the Chai Latte. Replace date powder: no date powder in the house? Honey or agave syrup are great alternatives. 12 grams per liter or 2 grams per head of 20cl, or to taste. Pulling 2 minutes to drink as tea in hot water but let it cook in a latte is certainly longer because you work with milk. Minute or 5 to 10, or here too to taste
