1 knob of butter
8 black puddings
1 kg Jonagold apples
2 packs of smiley faces

Preparation method

How do you make this?

Peel the apples, remove the core, and cut into pieces.

Place them in a large pot with a lid, add 250ml of water, and let simmer for 15min with the lid on.

If you find there is still too much moisture, let it simmer further without the lid.

Go through it vigorously with a whisk until you get a nice compote with some pieces here and there.

Cut the black pudding into thick round slices of 1.5 to 2 cm.

Make 3 cuts in each slice to create a star, up to 1cm from the bottom so they don't fall apart.

Fry until crispy on both sides in the butter over medium heat.

Fry the smiley faces or also cook them in the pan in some oil or in an Airfryer.

Serve the star puddings with the smiley faces with lots of apple sauce on the side. 😊

Put the rest of the potato apple sauce and pudding on the table.
