What do you need?
Quantity: 1 jar 400g

100 g fresh basil leaves
100 g parmigiano reggiano in pieces
70 g pine nuts
2 to 3 cloves of garlic
Black pepper from the grinder
A pinch of salt
Juice of 1 lemon
6 tbsp olive oil

Preparation method

How do you make this?

Put all the ingredients in a food processor and mix until you have a roughly smooth mixture but still with some chunks.

Taste and season if necessary; if you find it too thick, add a splash of water.

I prefer to make pesto in a food processor rather than a blender so you still have a nice bite.

In the blender, it gets mixed finer and creamier, which is also fine; you choose.

Store in a jar with a lid in the refrigerator, keeps for up to 1 week.
