What do you need?

Quantity:

Waffles:
130 g spelt flour
pinch of salt
1 tsp baking powder
320 ml milk
2 yolks
120 ml canola oil
2 egg whites
1 tsp cane sugar

Filling:
700 gr beef patties (beef/pork) coarsely ground
200 gr grated cheddar cheese
¼ finely chopped iceberg lettuce
White onion sliced into rings
Jar of sweet and sour pickles cut into strips
Soft sun-dried tomatoes, coarsely chopped
Homemade mayo in a squeeze bottle

Preparation method

How do you make this?

Waffles: Mix the dry ingredients together.

Beat 2 yolks with milk and oil. Add half to the flour and stir vigorously until lumps are gone. Fold in the other half.

Sift if there are lumps.

Beat the egg whites with the sugar.

Fold into the batter.

Bake for 4 min. until golden brown, place on a rack.

Burgers: Fry the patties in a knob of butter until nicely browned on both sides and turn off the heat.

Place a heap of cheese on each burger, let it melt for 3 min. in a preheated oven at 200°.
